ms walkGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Students from Mulick Park Elementary School’s 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes are joining hundreds of walkers at the Grand Rapids Walk for MS. The walk will take place on Saturday from 9am-1:00pm at the Donnelly Center at Aquinas College.

Their goal is to raise $500 for MS-related research and programs in Michigan and beyond. Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system which includes the brain, spinal cord, and optic functions. People living with MS might experience numbness, memory loss, muscle spasms, and many other symptoms related to loss of nerve function. MS affects more than 1,000 individuals in the Kent County area and 18,000 in the state of Michigan alone.
