Suspect Arrested For Taking Money From Cash Drawer

Davis, Spencer HOLLAND,Mich. —  Holland Police have arrested the suspect in Sunday’s larceny which occurred at 210 S River Ave. at the Shaker Messenger Gift Shop. 25-Year-Old Spencer Davis was arraigned Monday in the Holland District Court on 1 count of Felony Larceny in a Building and his bond was set at $5,000.00 cash/surety.

Holland Police say that Davis walked into The Shaker Messenger Gift Shop inquiring about items for sale near the front cash drawer and while the employee was in another room the suspect opened the cash drawer and took an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot.

Davis from the Holland area was arrested by officers late Sunday afternoon at his residence. The cash taken was not located and believed to have been given to another person. The suspect was not armed at the time of the incident.

Detectives were called to investigate this incident immediately after it occurred and based on the description linked this incident to this suspect based on prior contacts. A photo lineup of the suspect was conducted and witnesses were able to identify Davis as the suspect involved.
