Kalamazoo Valley Museum Hosts Wellness Event

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Kalamazoo Valley Museum will host the Ninth Annual Festival of Health this weekend. The event, which takes place from noon to 4pm is a non-traditional health fair for the entire family.

There will be many activities going on throughout the day:

Musician Joel Mabus will perform two concerts, at 12:30pm and 2:30pm in the Mary Jane Striker Theater.

Author Jeanne Hess will speak and autograph her book “Sportuality” at 1:30pm. Hess’ book Sportuality reflects on the peace, understanding and joy that being involved in sports can bring to ones life.

Life EMS will be giving tours of their ambulance and educating visitors on proper first aid. They will also have information on their Camp 911 and how to register.

Juice Plus and the Kalamazoo Junior League will share the importance of good nutrition and how to grow fruits and vegetables in your own garden.

And Tigerlily Therapy will be on site to offer free chair and table massages to reduce emotional and physical stress.
