Neighbors Clean Up The Community

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich-  On Saturday, neighbors and community members in Grand Rapids got together to spruce up the area for the 5th annual Westside Community Clean Up.

Those who took part in the event helped pick up about 10,000 pounds of trash over about 20 city blocks. “We want to pitch in and help i think its a great way to show leadership in the community,” says volunteer Eve Rogus.

The Westside Community Clean Up is part of a larger grass roots effort to invest in local neighborhood revitalization, beautification and economic development.
