KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The opening of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Kalamazoo has been postponed. The chain, which is based in Austin, TX is now expected to open the theater in September.
According to the Kalamazoo Gazette, the CEO and his partner have cited issues with construction and hiring as the reason for pushing back the opening.
The theater will be housed where the Rave Cityplace 14 theater was, at the corner of Portage and South streets.
The new theater will feature ten screens and it will serve beer and wine.
