indian-trails-golf-courseGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The city of Grand Rapids has hired a new club manager for the embattled Indian Trails Golf Course.

City documents show that the course has operated in the red and lost money over the past three years.

Lance Climie, who is a Certified Club Manager, entered a ‘personal services agreement,’ with the city.

According to Connie Bohatch, the managing director of community services, Climie will “manage and supervise daily operations.”

Climie was most recently the manager in Rockford at Reds on the River.

While the 2013 season is his initial focus, Bohatch said, Climie will help prepare for 2014. That includes “identifying proposed operational changes, developing the budget, creating marketing and communication materials.”
