GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Public Schools and former superintendent Bernard Taylor reached a settlement Tuesday.
Dr. Taylor did not receive the $330, 600 severance that he had been hoping for.
The district and Tayor, who served from April of 2006 to June of 2012, said in a joint statement they have agreed to a $280,000 settlement. The former superintendent sued the district after officials opted against paying him after claims of mismanagement.
Dr. Taylor is currently the superintendent in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
