GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. —  Major headaches begin tonight for commuters who use 28th Street at Patterson.   Phase two of the construction begins tonight at approximately 10 p.m. which will impact the ramp from eastbound 96, to eastbound 28th street, which will close tonight and remain closed until June, so crews can re-construct 28th to Patterson.

Be aware of traffic patterns in that area changing in no certain way, making driving in the area dangerous until motorists become accustom to the new traffic flow and detours.

Also, drivers expecting back-ups, can speed up your travels a bit by using Burton Street or 36th Street as ways to avoid the area completely.
