MUSKEGON, Mich. – At least nine students are being detained at Muskegon High School after a large fight broke out during lunch.
Muskegon Chief of Police Jeff Lewis told FOX 17 the altercation took place at 11:45 a.m. in the cafeteria.
Ambulances were called to the building on West Southern Avenue as a precaution.
Our crew on the scene tells us the high school is in lock down. A student said she was maced after a fight between two female students broke out. The fight escalated and other fights followed.
Parents can be seen arriving at the school to try to pick up their kids.
FOX 17 tried calling the school district but so far our calls have not been returned.
