Posted

BARRY COUNTY, Mich-  The man who authorities say called in a threat to a Barry County school Friday morning was arrested after investigators discovered a meth lab in his home.

Investigators tell FOX 17 the 50-year-old Orangeville man was on drugs when he claimed he was going to ‘shoot up a school’ early Friday morning which prompted school lock downs in Barry, Allegan and Kalamazoo Counties, including Delton-Kellogg.

The man was taken into custody at his Bever Road in Orangeville on unrelated charges to the alleged threat, according to authorities.  He was arrested for being a felon with a firearm and operating a meth home while on probation.  A child was also removed from the house.

Charges are not likely today, according to authorities.
