Creator of Kelsey’s Law Speaks to Local High School Students

Posted

WAYLAND, Mich. – Bonnie Raffaele, creator of Kelsey’s Law, spoke at Wayland Union High School, Thursday.

Bonnie’s daughter Kelsey died in a distracted driving accident in 2010.

She now calls herself a ‘Momma on a Mission’  working to prevent young drivers from using their cell phones in the car.

Governor Snyder signed ‘Kelsey’s Law’ in December prohibiting the use of cell phones for Level 1 and 2 drivers.

Now, in partnership with Monster Jam, Bonnie is visiting high schools across the state pushing for teens to ‘Hang up and Drive.’

Kelsey’s Law goes into effect March 28.
