ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions signed free agent running back Reggie Bush.
The 28-year old running back spent the last two seasons with the Miami Dolphins. He rushed for 2,072 yards in his two seasons in Miami including 1,086 yards in his first season with the Dolphins. He recorded six rushing touchdowns in each of his two years in Miami.
Bush wasn’t the only player the Lions signed today. Detroit also agreed to terms with defensive lineman Jason Jones. Jones is from the Metro-Detroit area and went to College at Eastern Michigan University. Jones had three sacks in a backup role with the Seattle Seahawks last year. He started his career in Tennessee under then-defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. Now he rejoins Schwartz in Detroit where he could be used as a replacement for Cliff Avril.
The Lions also resigned cornerback Chris Houston to a five-year deal.
