Art in Bloom Exhibit and New App Blossoming at GRAM

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Flowers around West Michigan are just starting to pop through the soil, but they will be vibrant  March 15-17 at the Grand Rapids Art Museum’s Art in Bloom exhibit. On display will be floral designs by local floral designers inspired by works of art from the Museum’s collection.

Those who visit, will have a chance to vote for People’s Choice and even be able to register for floral arrangement classes. Summer Art Camps for kids ages 5-13 will benefit from the proceeds. A list of classes and events can be found at www.artmuseum.org

The GRAM is also excited to announce The Jansma Print Collection iPad app. People in 10 countries have already downloaded it on iTunes and it offers an interactive experience for museum visitors and digital users worldwide. This allows users to get an in-depth look at the collection through the app designed by Conduit Studio. led by Director John O’Neil. The Jansma Collection includes masterpieces by Rembrandt and Manet.
