(WEST MICHIGAN) — Moderate to heavy rain showers are starting to move into West Michigan. Temperatures will remain mild into the 40’s Sunday allowing all precipitation to fall as rain. This large system taps directly into gulf moisture and will funnel it right into West Michigan. Some areas along the lakeshore have already picked up around a quarter of an inch of rain. Rain will continue through the afternoon and overnight tonight with rain totals between a quarter of an inch to around three-quarters of an inch. A cold front will move through Monday afternoon and evening dropping temperatures into the 30’s, which will allow any left over rain showers to transition into light snow. Temperatures behind the front will drop back into the 30’s through midweek.
