ANN ARBOR, Mich – Trey Burke had 26 points and 8 assists for the Wolverines as they bounced back from a slow start to beat Illnois 71-58 Sunday.
Michigan fought off a slow start and took control in the second half out scoring the Fighting Illini 43-27. This was the fifth straight win for the Wolverines over Illinois. Burke is only the seventh true sophomore to reach the 1,000 plateau.
Tim Hardaway Jr. helped out with 13 points and Glenn Robinson III added 10 points.
Up next for Michigan, they go on the road to Penn State on Wednesday night (Feb 27).
