BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The death of a baby boy from Battle Creek has been ruled as accidental, according to Battle Creek police.
Officials said the foster-mother of the boy found him unresponsive on Tuesday.
Detective Sgt. Jim Martens said officers arrived at the home located in the 300 block of Country Club Terrace at about 7:34 p.m.
The mother told police she fed the baby and put him back in her bed. When she woke up, he was not breathing.
Marten said it appeared the baby had rolled over onto his stomach and suffocated.
