GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In the last week, gas prices in Grand Rapids have risen 6.9 cents per gallon, bringing the average price for gas up to $3.94 per gallon.
According to gasbuddy.com, gas prices on Sunday were 46.7 cents higher than they were on the same day in 2012, and prices are just over 60 cents higher than last month’s prices.
In addition, the national average for gas prices has risen. Within the last month, the national average has risen by more than 42 cents per gallon and when compared to 2012, the national average has risen by more than 16 cents per gallon. Detroit is averaging at $3.86 per gallon and New York, Los Angeles and Chicago have already passed the $4 price.
