MCBRIDE, Mich. — A 67 year old McBride man was driving northbound on Wyman road in the Village of McBride on sunday when his passenger side window was struck by a errant bullet
Doug Davis called 911 reporting that his vehicle window had been shattered by a bullet. Davis was uninjured. Investigation shows the bullet entered the passenger side front window and went through the passenger front seat head rest.
Sheriff’s Deputies determined that two subjects had been target practicing with handguns inside of a building on the southeast corner of Wyman and Coral Roads. One of the rounds missed the fabricated backstop, went through the west wall of the building and struck Davis’ vehicle as he was driving by. It is believed the round was fired from either a .357 revolver or a 9mm.
Deputies have seized the firearms as well as other evidence connected to this incident. The investigative report will be forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office.
