KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The woman who died when hit by a car early Sunday has been identified as Breena Kay Dixit, 22, according to Kalamazoo Public Safety.
The accident happened around 12:42 a.m. at West Michigan Avenue and Emajean Street.
Officers say Dixit died at the scene. She was a Western Michigan University student from St. Clair Shores, Mich., who graduated in mid-December
The investigation is ongoing but alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors at this time.
