NEW YORK — Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch died Friday morning at age 88. Spokesman George Arzt said Koch died of congestive heart failure. He was moved to intensive care just Thursday.

Koch became the face of New York for the rest of the world, with his style and trademark question, “How’m I doing?”

Koch was also a former congressman and a judge on the TV show “The People’s Court.” He served three terms as mayor, beginning in 1977.
