EMU Student’s Death Ruled A Homicide

WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. – The death of an Eastern Michigan University student has been officially ruled as a homicide.

The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office was waiting for toxicology results before ruling on Julia Niswender’s death.

The 23-year-old was found dead inside her apartment in December.

Niswender was a communication’s student at the university.

Police do not have any suspects in Niswender’s death.
