CUPERTINO, Calif. – Apple has announced a new iPad with 128-gigabyte memory, which is twice as large as the current device.
The 128 GB Wi-Fi model will cost about $800, while the LTE model will be a little over $900.
The abrupt release marks a shift in how Apple is updating the iPad.
Instead of rolling out new iPads once a year or so, Apple is now treating the iPad more like its Mac line, releasing incremental updates to existing models.
The new iPad will be available on February 5.
