ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. – A man allegedly broke into an Allegan County home Thursday morning and bit one of the occupant’s fingers.
Police are looking for Zachary Fitts, 21, who allegedly broke into a home in Overisel Township at about 9:55 a.m.
When Fitts entered the home, the brother of the homeowner said he tried to stop him and a struggle began. That’s when Fitts allegedly bit his finger and said that he had a gun.
Fitts fled the home in a vehicle that was later recovered by Holland City Police at the suspect’s home.
It is not known if Fitts fled on foot or is traveling in another vehicle.
According to police documents, the suspect has a lengthy criminal record that includes burglary and larceny.
