GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A man suffered life-threatening stab wounds on Grand Rapids’ southeast side Sunday morning.
At 6:10 a.m. Sunday, the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to 317 Highland St. SE where neighbors heard a man moaning in his front yard. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an unconscious man of about 25 lying on the ground near the sidewalk and suffering from life-threatening stab wounds to his stomach and arm.
The man was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he underwent surgery later Sunday morning and where he was listed in critical but stable condition Sunday afternoon.
Blood remained smeared on the sidewalk in front of the residence later Sunday.
Police have tentatively identified the stabbing victim but his identity has not been released.
