GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Grand Rapids Public Schools held a green carpet event and ribbon cutting for the new Blandford School Monday morning.
The new building replaces the portable manufactured building that had far outlived its life expectancy and was in need of replacement.
The new school facility is a state-of-the-art LEED certified school building that will be used by students and the community at large.
The new Blandford School is the first traditional public school in Grand Rapids built with mostly private donations.
