New Details Revealed In The Kalamazoo Murder/Suicide

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – An autopsy reveals how a Kalamazoo woman, who was murdered by her husband, died.

The autopsy revealed that Andrea Lyn Rachdi, 29, was killed with a sharp weapon. Both the victim and the assailant, 25 year old Nawfal Rachdi, were found with an 8-inch knife beside them.

The couple was discovered on Sunday, Dec. 16, when Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to a call at the 2200 block of Lakeway Avenue.  Upon arriving the scene was silent and secure, but officials forced their way into the home when they noticed a person lying motionless on the floor.

Children of the couple were not inside at the time of incident. No one else was believed to be inside.
