ALLEGAN, Mich-

Families of four missing fugitives are breathing a sigh of relief, knowing that two inmates along with their girlfriends have been found safe, in Canon City, Colorado.

Kenneth Grauman, Jr. 32, along with Greg Bradshaw, 23, were found in a motel around 7 p.m. Thursday. Their girlfriends, Brittany Rector, 17, and Laura Grauman, 29, also taken into custody.

FOX 17 stopped by the home of Rector, but friends of the family said no one wanted to talk; they were ecstatic and just needed time to let it sink in.

On the other hand, FOX 17 broke the news to Kenneth Grauman, Senior.

“I didn’t even want to answer my phone no more because I was just waiting for the worst and I’m glad it finally got over.” Ken, Sr. said.

When asked to describe what the last week and a half has been like he said, “Terrible, something you never want to go through.”

Family and friends have been supportive, he added.

“I’ve always told him if you don’t come home I can’t help ya that’s why I was waiting for a phone call. If he would’ve called me from Indiana or wherever he was I would’ve went and got him if he wanted to turn himself in.” Ken added.

Senior said he has been in trouble in the past, too.

“You gotta grow out of it and start somewhere if you want a life.” He added.

This is what he had to say about 17 year-old Rector, his son’s girlfriend, being involved.

“I was worried because she was a young girl, her life, ya know, why ruin it.”

Rector along with Laura are being held in Fremont County, Colo. Both Grauman and Bradshaw are awaiting extradition back to Michigan.
