WEST MICHIGAN — The forecast from FOX 17 Weather Ready Meteorologist Colton Cichoracki: Certainly a taste of Fall across West Michigan on Sunday with highs in the lower 70s. This Fall-feel will carry over into Sunday night as temperatures drop into the lower 50s. This could end up being the coolest night in Grand Rapids in nearly a month. Monday is the first day of school for many kids across West Michigan. With temperatures in the 50s in the morning, make sure the kids have a coat or sweatshirt on to start the day. The good news is that the day will end up being fantastic with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 70s. High pressure will keep us sunny and dry through Tuesday as well, with highs reaching the upper 70s. Our next rain chance will arrive by Wednesday. Right now the most likely time frame for scattered showers and storms will be later on Wednesday, and into Thursday. This will also come with a slight increase in humidity both days, with highs around 80. The end of the week looks quiet with seasonable temperatures.

WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy with chance P.M. scattered showers/storms. Highs around 80 and a bit humid.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of scattered showers/storms. Highs around 80 and a bit humid.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to near 80.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy with highs around 80.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with chance showers. Highs near 80 degrees.
