WEST MICHIGAN — Pictures from FOX 17 viewers show 2020's first spring storm.

A blast of early spring storms ripped through West Michigan Tuesday evening with torrential rain, golfball size hail, vivid lightning, and gusty winds. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH was issued in the late afternoon, which was followed by several counties being placed into SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS for the possibility of large hail and damaging winds. No major damage was reported, and the storms exited the area by midnight. Several locations reported 1.75" or golfball size hail, with Otsego in Allegan County seeing 2" or egg size hail.
