The Kelloggsville girls basketball team avenged an earlier season loss Monday as it beat rival Godwin Heights, 41-39, in the division two district opener.

The Rockets (5-7) advance to play Grand Rapids Catholic Central (9-3) on Wednesday at Godwin Heights.
