Holton 41, Shelby 33
Holton ran out to a 17-point halftime lead and held on to beat Shelby Tuesday night, 41-33 in a non-conference game.
The win improves the Red Devils to 7-1 which matches the 2006-2007 team's record through the first eight games. That team went on to win a conference and district championship, the last time either was done by a boys basketball team at Holton.
Senior guard Aidan Poling led Holton with 19 points on Tuesday.
The Red Devils will travel to play Hesperia on Friday in CSAA Silver play.
