GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Christian boys basketball beat South Christian last Friday night and Farmington on Saturday afternoon at the Red Hawk Classic.

The Eagles (13-0) lead the OK Gold at the halfway point of the conference season and now have nine days off before resuming on Febuaary 11th.

"Same routine we just work, work, work," junior guard Kobe Bufkin said. "We work a lot so that is why we're 12 and oh right now."

Grand Rapids Christian was in a similar situation earlier this season with 10 days off prior to start conference play with a two point win (49-47) at Thornapple-Kellogg.

"I don't like it," Eagles head coach Eric Taylor said. "We were in Florida, we came back a few guys got sick and we were able to regroup and find our rythym and now another week off but we are going to try to simulate some things as a normal week, we are going to try to do some intersquad scrimmage Tuesday and Friday try to simulate game type situations, get our legs and just lot of film, log of development and just to continue to work on those things."

Christian High start the second half of conference play at home against Thornapple-Kellogg next Tuesday.
