Former Michigan safety Charles Woodson elected into Pro Football Hall of Fame

CANTON, Ohio — Former Michigan safety and Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson was selected as the first member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2021 Saturday night.

Woodson appeared in 254 games over 18 seasons for the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers.

The former Wolverine totaled 65 interceptions, which is tied for fifth in league history and includes at least one in each of his pro seasons. He led the NFL in interceptions twice, with nine in 2009 and seven in 2011.
