WEST MICHIGAN — As a way to show appreciation to a 2020 class that lost a decent chunk of their school year due to the coronavirus pandemic, schools around West Michigan gathered this Friday at 8:20 to celebrate the graduating seniors.
The schools turned on the lights of their football field and had parents and kids drive up to the respective fields, flashing their bright lights and practicing social distancing while giving the seniors the celebration they rightfully deserved.
Below are a few pictures of schools who captured the moment as a part of the #BeTheLight movement.
Many high schools around the area will be continuing this tradition every Friday as part of the #BeTheLight movement. If you would like to share your school taking part, take a photo or a video of all the lights and send it over to news@fox17online.com
