GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Express Employment Professionals is hosting a 12-hour “Job-A-Thon” on Tuesday, Jan. 19, as it looks to fill some 400 light industrial positions in Grand Rapids.

David Robb, the director of operations at Express Employment Professionals, says about 100 companies make up these 400 openings, and the pay ranges from $13 to $17 an hour. The roles vary from machine operators to warehouse workers, to shipping and receiving, forklift operators, and many more.

EEP will have 25 members of its team taking phone calls all day Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., helping find the right fit for callers. “Our goal is just to connect with as many people on the phone as possible, and we’ll be doing an initial 15- to maybe 30-minute phone interview, going over people’s work history, learning what they’re looking for, and then talking about some potential job matches. And then we’ll walk them through what the next steps are from there,” Robb told FOX 17 Thursday.

Job seekers can either call EEP anytime during that 12-hour window at (616) 281-0611 or schedule a specific time for a call on theirwebsite.
