MICHIGAN — President Donald Trump is expected to travel to Michigan to visit a Ford manufacturing plant, per CNN via three sources familar with his travel plans.
Ford's manufacturing plant is one of several Michigan businesses to re-open its doors on Monday, May 18.
The trip is scheduled for Thursday, but sources caution that that is subject to change.
This will be Trump's third visit to a "battleground" state in recent weeks, as he traveled to Arizona on May 5 to tour a Honeywell N95 mask facility, as well as visiting a personal protective equipment (PPE) distribution facility in Pennsylvania.
A source familar with Trump and Vice President Mike Pence's travel plans said that though these being "battleground" states is not the primary motivation, visiting those places does have its benefits.
