Local businesses getting creative to stay open during COVID-19

Many businesses and events have taken creative approaches so that the show can go on while honoring social distancing guidelines!

Farmgirl Flea Market

Many in West Michigan are familiar with all of the artisan and “pickin’” style treasures at Farm Girl Flea Market in Hudsonville. While this year, you can’t see all of the treasures in person, you can do it online!

Famgirl Flea Pickers & Makers, LLC, will be showcasing vendors online starting at 9am on Friday, May 15. They will post vendor pics on their Facebook event page, redirecting you where to purchase online from these talented folks. You might just expect some special discounts, too.

Kurbside Kona

Have a Kona Ice just once and you’ll be hooked! Kurbside Kona Ice means that a delivery might be possible in your area if you are near the preset locations!

For example, today anyone within 2 miles of 2340 Dean Lake Ave NE, Grand Rapids, 49505, qualifies! You must sign up for a time slot and they are limited!

*$12 Minimum Order (+$1 fee added for website host, sorry) NO DELIVERY CHARGE

Deliveries will be efforted within 30 minutes of the chosen time.

Litter Clean-up Walk

You are being challenged by the friends of Grand Rapids Parks, this Saturday, May 16, to spend at least 16 minutes picking up litter and debris, while social distancing.

Movies at home on a Friday night are much better when real movie theatre popcorn is involved! Sperry’s Moviehouse in Holland has a walk-up popcorn window. From 5pm to 8pm, Friday, May 15, snag some popcorn and other concession treats. Credit cards only!
