PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One man died after a crash early Friday night in Plainfield Township.
An off-duty police officer spotted the crash scene on Pine Island Drive near Hayes Street around 1 a.m. on August 21, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators believe the motorcyclist was headed south on Pine Island when his motorcycle left the road and hit a utility pole. The 34-year-old from Sparta was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else is believed to be involved in the crash, said the sheriff's office.
