GRAND RAPIDS — Snow that fell across the entire area on Sunday is already generating some school closings and delays for Monday. About 1" to 2" of snow fell across our southern counties, 3" to 4" around Grand Rapids and vicinity, while 4" to 6" fell north of GR in Newaygo, Oceana, and Mecosta Counties. Some rural districts, and even some not so rural schools have been pulling the plug on a "snow day" for Monday.

We would expect snow covered, perhaps icy secondary roads Monday morning, but the main thoroughfares should be in decent shape. Look out for gravel, rural roads, subdivisions, and roads/streets that have not been plowed or treated. Click here for the latest West Michigan school closings and delays. Have a pleasant week. More accumulating snow and Arctic air arrives Wednesday night into Thursday and Friday. Get the West Michigan forecast at www.fox17online.com/weather.
