(WXYZ) — Operations at the temporary hospital inside the TCF Center are being paused, 7 Action News has learned.

According to the State of Michigan, health data regarding coronavirus is improving and hospital surge capacity overload is reducing due to the Stay Home, Stay Safe efforts.

As of Wednesday, there is one patient at the 1,000-bed center, and they stopped accepting new patients last week.

The state said beds will remain on site with the ability to come back online as needed.

Also, used N95 masks will be delivered to the Battle Labs decontamination device at the TCF Center to help play a role in relief efforts.

The TCF Center regional care center will be ready to receive patients if the need arises throughout the state.

As for the Suburban Collection Showplace temporary hospital, it will continue to accept COVID-19 patients, and they currently have five patients on site.
