OLIVE TWP., Mich. — One 29-year-old Holland resident was sent to the hospital yesterday with non-life threatening injuries after a two-car crash.
Right before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to West Olive Rd and Blair St in Olive Township reference to a 2-car personal injury traffic crash.
A 49-year-old woman from Indiana was driving a Honda Accord eastbound on Blair St. She stopped at the stop sign at West Olive Road and then proceeded into the intersection.
She pulled into the path of a northbound GMC pick-up truck driven by a 29-year-old Holland man.
The collision sent both vehicles off the roadway into the northeast ditch.
The driver of the GMC was not injured.
The driver of the Honda was transported to Holland Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
