ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A house went up in flames Wednesday afternoon thanks to a car that drove into it and started on fire itself.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened at the corner of 92nd Avenue and Pierce Street in Allendale Township.
The car and home both caught fire, and by the time crews arrived the house was fully involved.
An off-duty officer spotted the driver of the car running from the scene. He follow the 29-year-old man until other deputies arrived and arrested him just down the road.
