HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities have identified the victims in a fatal three-vehicle crash Saturday in Ottawa County.
The crash happened on Douglas Avenue near Adams Street after authorities say 33-year-old Elena Young lost control of her vehicle in slushy road conditions, causing her to cross into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle was hit on the passenger’s side by a westbound vehicle.
Young and her 16-year-old daughter, Angelina Trevino, were both taken to an area hospital after the crash, where they both died. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says Trevino was a student at West Ottawa High School.
