MUSKEGON, Mich. — A person of interest in the shooting death of a man in front of a Muskegon home has been taken into custody.
The shooting happened around 1:14 p.m. Monday outside a home on Orchard Avenue between Scott and Kenneth streets. When police arrived, they found 21-year-old Damonte Neal with a gunshot wound to his back.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Monday evening, Muskegon police took a 21-year-old Muskegon man into custody as a person of interest in the shooting.
