KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 23-year-old is under arrest after a short chase led Kalamazoo police to find drugs and a firearm on Friday.
Deputies responded to multiple gun shots coming from South Westnedge Ave. and Ranney St., by Martini's Kzoo pizza restaurant and Fourth Coast Cafe and Bakery.
An officer saw a person run from the area and followed them down Ranney St.
Police brought in a K9 who helped them find the suspect under a porch along with a stolen handgun, crack cocaine, and various prescription medications.
The Kalamazoo resident is being held at the County Sheriff's Department on multiple charges.
