More Michigan cities extend income tax deadlines

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Three cities in Calhoun County have extended their income tax deadlines to July 31.

The move brings each municipality into line with Governor Whitmer’s executive order than extended state and city income tax filing and payment deadlines. The normal filing deadline for all the cities is April 30.

In Albion, tax refunds will continue to be processed during the coronavirus period. Send tax filings by mail to 112 W. Cass St., Albion, MI 49224, or place them in the drop box in front of City Hall. Offices are closed, but questions are being taken at 517-441-9814 and by City Accountant Eric Tobin at 517-629-7865 or etobin@cityofalbionmi.gov.

In Springfield, offices are also closed, but questions can be directed to incometax@springfieldmich.com. Mail tax filings to 601 Avenue A, Springfield, MI 49037 or use the drop box at City Hall.
