SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — An armed robbery suspect is on the run, after holding a man at gunpoint in his own car at a Springfield area gas station Friday night.

It happened around 7:54 p.m. on W. Michigan Ave., according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.

The victim had arrived in the area to buy a gaming console from someone he had talked to over Facebook.

While he was waiting, a man entered his car and held him at gunpoint before telling him to drive to a nearby parking lot.

There, the suspect took several items from the victim and told them to leave.

At one point, the suspect fired off at least one shot from his gun, however the victim was uninjured.

Deputies found the victim's vehicle where he had left it but the suspect was already gone at that point.

A K9 track was conducted but it was unsuccessful.
