WYOMING, Mich. — Wyoming Police continue to investigate how a person was able to gain access to a virtual classroom at Godfrey-Lee High on Wednesday.
The masked individual joined a 10th grade class, then held a gun to their head. The teacher removed the person from the meeting.
In a release the department says significant leads point to a possible suspect who lives outside of the state. Detectives are still collecting information.
The Public Safety Department expects to send the full report to the Prosecutor's Office for possible charges.
Meanwhile, the district is rolling out additional security measures to prevent the situation from happening again. They ask all students, parents, and staff to report any safety concerns immediately.
