New Year's Day stabbing under investigation

KENTWOOD, Mich. — Officers are searching for the person who attacked a man with a knife early on New Year's Day, sending the victim to the hospital with several stab wounds.

Kentwood Police say a man was brought to Metro Health Hospital Monday morning. His arrival and condition prompted the hospital to contact police.

Investigators tell FOX 17 he was stabbed on the 3300 block of 52nd Street around 1 a.m.

So far no suspect is in custody.
