GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Another rash of break-ins early Monday morning in the Grand Rapids area has business owners frustrated and disappointed.

At 44th and Kalamazoo, both Queen Latrese Hair and Polish Nail Bar and Spa both had their front doors smashed in.

Nothing was taken from Polish Nail and Spa, but the damage is upsetting to owner Candace Sumrell.

“It’s not a good feeling," Sumrell said. "It’s a very unsafe feeling, it’s a very unpleasant feeling. It just makes you wonder, was I being watched? Was I targeted? Were you marking my place?”

Queen Latrese said she was just getting ready to open up her second location at 44th and Kalamazoo, when that shop was broken into.

To make matters worse, both her second and original store at 28th and Eastern was hit Monday as well.

“It’s annoying and it needs to stop. Period,” Latrese said.

At the 28th Street and Eastern store, Latrese's cash register was stolen.

“I worked too hard for this,” Latrese said.
